Problems burning dvd's with Nero?

Question

I've been burning DVD's using Nero 6 for a while now but lately I have been having problems with the disc's not playing properly.They seem to burn alright but when you try and play the disc's the menu's and extra features work but when you go to play the movie the player just returns to the main menu,I have tried the disc's on three different dvd players and the problem is the same.I am using Verbatim DVD-R disc's that were recommended by the computer shop,all previous disc's were RITEK and they all worked without any problems.All suggestions would be appreciated.

Update:

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Nero 6 and problem is still there,I am running Windows XP and I also use dvd shrink when I need to,hope this helps.

I have updated to the latest version of Nero 6 also.

Try reinstalling Nero 6 and if the problem persists go to www.nero.com and search for an update.

it could be a number of problems what windows are you running /// what kind of ripping program are you using are they up to date are you using the lastest nero but you shouldn't  have to use only 1 type of disk thats a  no no!!!best windows to run doing that is XP Pro

try using DVD+R .......if that doesnt work than tr updating nero to the newer version
