Why does your hair get cold right after you have taken a shower? Scientific reason only!?

Well, there's a lot of water evaporating as your head dries. Also, a lot of heat is leaving your head even without the evaporation. You just don't usually notice much because your hair acts as an insulator (unless it's wet..not such great insulation then). It has a large amount of surface area for water to evaporate from, so the process takes a lot of heat away quickly.

Edit: Evaporation requires heat, and I didn't specifically mention that before.

properly in case you reside able like say, florida, chilly showers (no longer freezing) that are in basic terms earlier lukewarm are easily adjusted to because of the fact its warm. yet while no longer then get in the bathe on an analogous time as its heat and Slowly make it chillier. in basic terms make it as chilly as you're confortable with (your bathe needs to be relaxing) chilly showers can keep your hair greater healthy. heat showers dry out your hair (believe it or no longer) and open your pores permitting all the airborne dirt and dust out of your hair to sink into your pores and probably reason an zits outbreak. i'm not sure if does something on your dermis excpet avert (partly) ance. chilly showers additionally are constructive to the enviorment =] wish i helped.

i know this isn't a "scientific reason" but im a swimmer and everytime i get out of the pool and go into the colorado wind my hair freezes...like no other it is like hard a a rock frozen i hate it i want the reasoning too lol

cuz when u come out a hot bath or shower then the tempature is differant to the hot bath and its colder than the bath cuz thats hot as u could make it and as your hair is on top it hits that first and then circles down to the rest of your body (so theres your scientific answer ) ok so hurry up plz and give me my 10 points for helping you out just click me as best answer thanxs

Well, scientifically speaking of course, because it's wet.

Cause it is wet. Why are your clothes cold after coming out of the washing machine. Cause it gets wet!

the air will blow on it making your head cold, most of your body heat escapes your head
