How can I delete the away messages I make on the yahoo messenger screen?

well, with yahoo I dont think there is a way unless you can find them in the registry, but as you make new one, the old ones fall off. I think it holds 10, then they atart rolling off in order they were made/used.

I just clear the old ones by making new ones......try to put a space in them to make them clear

Yahoo! Messenger retains your last 5 custom status entries, these are stored in your registry...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ yahoo\ pager\ profiles\ {yahooID}\ Custom Msgs

you can either create as many as required to bump the existing ones off your list or you can download and use Andy's Clear/Edit Messenger status history utility which allows easy editing and deletion of the messages without touching your registry (which isn't recommended unless you have a good working knowledge of your system and know how to backup and restore your registry)

His utility will will let your remove / edit your previous Yahoo Messenger status messages or you can either clear all or just select which ones to remove, you can also edit existing ones (for like if you do a typo etc) or create new ones. You can download it from our repository page...

If you have not sent the messages yet, just backspace...if you have then they are already sent
