Why do people ask such dumb questions in geography? All they have to do is look at a map or consult an almanac

Several reasons: They are lazy. They like to see their name in print. And it feeds our egos.

There are no dumb questions. Bear in mind, many of the people who participate here are inquisitive kids who are just getting started in the world of research.

I'm more annoyed by questions such as "what's your favorite flavor of ice cream?" Then... bing.. bing.. bing... 10 points if you answer "chocolate"

why do people ask geology or geometry questions on the geography board. that is even more stupid.

Not everything is available on a map.

well.. that is a lot of work.. why not ask and let someone else answer your question... come on now.. Get with the program !!!
