Depends on context.... If it's appropriately used (for example if you were quoting To Kill a Mocjingbird or Huck Finn, you'd say it right?) and by that I mean not overly offensive in context (ie - Mos Def's "Mista *****") But if the song is like "I'll f**k that n**ger up" or something, you shouldn't be saying (and why would you want to?) Then again I'm a white guy who live in the total suburbs, so that's just my personal opinion.

Every time I hear that word. I think of Roots! I feel very bad for all the slaves that were mistreated. It was a long time ago. How long are we going to have to pay. I just don't like the word. No matter what race you are. In answer to your question, is yes.

Why not, You're just repeating the words in the song. If the black man insists on referring to themselves as the "n" word and know that there is an increase of white interest in hip hop ; why wouldn't our culture expect to here white people say the "n" word. If we don't want you to say it then we should stop saying it. Period!

It is never okay to say it in a song or anything because the averaage person will get so use to saying it whe the wrong type of person is around you say it and some one might get hurt.

Well... Let's put it this way: When you're in a club and you're a member of the minority...? How much attention do you REALLY want to draw to yourself...? Like the commercial says: "...Wanna get away...?"

It don't matter either way.... But white folks I think should act there race, not black so they wouldn't need to say that ****.
