I found a really strange thing that worked for me. I wanted to lose weight for ages but i kept getting really big cravings for chocolate and crisps and snacks in the day that i just COUDNT control.. so i kept gaining weight.. id go through phases of thinkin, oh, i dont care, and eating tonnes then feeling guilty, then trying to crash diet and it was so messed up. but then 2 weeks ago my mum got quite ill, her doc told her to get some early nights cos she wouldnt go to bed till like 1 or 2am every night, so anyways she started going to sleep by 10pm. and i thought id try and have a few early nights as well, so anyway.. after a week of early nights i found my cravings had almost totally stopped and i was losing weight! and i wasnt tired or ratty and well i think that sleep plays a big part in weight loss, cos then you dont constantly need energy fixes like chocolate and things high in calories in the day.
but dont forget exercise aswell, that is just as important.

Endocrinologists have long noticed that women who have polycystic ovary syndrome tend to crave sweets more than those who don't. They are not sure what causes it, but they think it is related to an imbalance of hormones.
Rebalancing your body's hormones or starting an insulin lowering medication may be very helpful. You should discuss this with your endocrinologist. Good luck!
