Before you install the cylinder head, be sure the piston is all the way up (top dead Center) Do this by turning the flywheel which is attached to the crank. On the flywheel is a "mark" that probably has a "T" stamped near the mark. This is for "time" and should line up with a pointer or a notch near the flywheel edge most likely on the engine case.
Pay close attention to the timing chain so you don't drop it into the lower engine cases. Install the Head Gasket. You will have to feed the timing chain through this gasket and the cylinder head. Attached cylinder head. Tie timing chain off so it doesn't fall in engine.
Install Cam. (without the timing gear) Be sure cam lobes are facing upward, away from the valve stems. The valves need to be closed as part of the timing process.
Put chain on cam gear. Look for alignment marks, one will be on the gear itself. It normally should be at the 12 o'clock position. Torque all bolts to factory specs after double checking timing marks on both cam and crank(flywheel).
Adjust cam chain tensioner. Most now days are auto adjust and just need to be reinstalled.
An engine manual for your model is recommended for getting proper torque specs and it should also give you a more detailed repair explanation. Good Luck!
