Is there a website were I can find out how much tax will be deducted from my paycheck?

I have a part time job at Kmart as a cashier. I get paid $7 an hour and my first paycheck will be about $315. (I get paid every other week)

You can go to www.irs.gov and get the withholding tables for the federal taxes.

Your state may also withhold, so you would need to go the the state's revenue site for that specific information. For example, California's is www.ftb.ca.gov.

Also be aware that you have to pay FICA and Medicare to the Feds, which is a total of 7.65 percent this year.

Your calculations should look like this, with the following assumptions-You are single and your withholding status in One.

I am also assuming you have no children.

    Gross Wages $315

    less:

    FICA/Medicare - 24.10

    Federal Tax -9.00

State Tax (Look up site) - x.xx

    State Disability or UI -x.xx

Local Tax (If any) - x.xx

Subtract the above amounts from the gross and you will know what your check is.

    Good luck.

If no taxes have been deducted from his paycheck, then he's a 1099 status...it is, he replaced into seen a contractor. Contractors are meant to pay "expected" federal and state taxes each quarter as long as he replaced into amassing a paycheck from this corporation. I have been given my accountant to choose my expected taxes and he revealed out a team of fee stubs for me to pay off each 4 months....April fifteenth, June fifteenth, September fifteenth, January15th. in the adventure that your husband is back to a typical W2 activity, he won't could make further expected Tax money anymore...basically up till the quarter that he replaced into being paid for. So if his 6 weeks pay crossed any of the quarters, he'd could pay expected tax for the two quarters. this is extra suitable to over-estimate and then get some a reimbursement on the top of the three hundred and sixty 5 days than to decrease than-estimate because of the fact then you certainly will could pay penalty and interest on the quantity you underpaid.
