nope. he just died his hair black for his star role as 'Link Larkin' in the musical 'Hairspray'. go to www.zefron.com and check it out.(he is also planning to gain weight for this role also, 15 lbs)

if you're talking about his dark hair, it's just for his movie Hairspray. For high school musical 2 he'll be back to his hotter look of blonde. that's why he's not on the hsm tour, cuz he's filming hairspray the movie
