Where can I find an American Girl doll, besides the American Girl stores?

Costco has them. You can buy the mini doll with a full set of the 6 books... Some Hallmark stores also carry the minis.

There is another AG store in Chicago, IL. Wal-Mart and Target could not get the dolls b/c only the AG stores have right to sell them- sorry. The doll shouldn't be terribly expensive online. I got one of the little ones a couple years ago and it was 20 dollars. Maybe you could call the store and the shipping and handling would be cheaper than e-bay. Good Luck.

There is an american girl store in Chicago and one in Los Angeles that just opened, if that helps at all. If not you can order it through their magazine. But walmart, target and jcpenny do not sell those line of dolls...at least the ones near me do not. So if you are trying to get it for less, i think your best bet will be ebay ( i know you dont wan to buy it online on ebay.) You can look in newspaper ads, sometimes people will sell them through their. Anyways, good luck!!! Hope this helps. xxx

When I was younger my mom got mine from the AG catalogue. The store in Chicago is also good, if you're closer to that.

I believe the only stores that carry the dolls are the AG stores, though FAO may have it. I have never seen them in any other store. Though I did see one in the window of a thrift shop ... and it was new, I guess. At least it looked like it was.

I saw some in Sam's Club or Costco, but that was weeks ago & may be gone now. Hallmark stores carry the books & jewelry, may have doll in for the holicays.

I once saw a Molly doll that was the mini doll at Target, but it came with her new DVD. I don't think they have any other american girl retailers, though, sorry.
