Can you provide me with a reason not to leave?

I care. If you take pleasure in helping people with their questions, taking time out of your day to do this I applaud you. Don't take to heart rude and uncaring people in their response or neglect of the answer you give. You give heartfelt answers and that is why you are here. You are a thoughtful and caring person, just because you leave this will not change. Stay and continue to answer because eventually someone will need your kind words, you might help more than you know.

Try not to soak up all the mockery that goes on.

I got sick of the R@S category as well at one time. I took a break from it and have been having fun on here ever since. Maybe you should try that.

There will always be ignorant people who love to hate and make others angry. That's just the way this world is. I know about the questions being put up for vote and all too. Just try to pick the questions you answer a little more wiser. Don't leave. Just give it another try and ignore the idiots that are on here...Ok?

Granted your rant was in a semi-appropriate forum, but it was a rant none the less. It seems to me that you have just used Yahoo Answers as your own personal soapbox.

That said, I do agree with you that a disturbing number of people use this place to spread their agendas or just plain old hate. Too bad. I just try to sift through the crap and enjoy. There are quite a few people here who are honestly seeking answers to legitimate questions.

The Report Abuse system is seriously out of whack and trolls run rampant, handing out thumbs down like halloween candy.

I am in too deep to go myself, but certainly four of the Top Ten people have left for various reasons, much along what you have esperience.

Let me make a suggetion.

leave for awhile, but keep your account. If you still feel the same, then close out altogehter. At least this way, you can come back at where you are now

I think I've given a lot of good answers too, but I've only gotten 3 "Best". I've been trying to ignore the trolls & continue on & it's working! We need more smart, insightful people here so, please don't go! I'm getting kind of addicted & have found a more peaceful existence. When I see all the hate here it makes me that much more loving. Yesterday when I went to the store, I was much kinder & patient with people - not that I'm usually grumpy. I hope you can find it too. Lots of people care.

You spend half your time on here reporting people? Good heavens, chill out and get a life. People use this forum for all sorts of reasons. But you don't have to be police, judge and jury for them. Read those questions that interest you, and ignore the rest. Life is too short -- enjoy it!

Get used to it! It's the ole' 80/20 rule that applies to business: 20% of the people possess 80% of the business which leaves the other 80% to fight over the 20% of business that's left. It applies to money: 20% of the people in the world possess 80% of the money. I'm convinced that it applies to the human race, too. Only 20% of the people are smart, functional, considerate, open minded and successful. Only 20% think about their children and make a conscious effort to be great parents. 20% have their acts together while the other 80% of the world......................yeah, get it???

As irritating as the trolls are (and believe me, I think they are ridiculous), don't you still feel your answers are making a difference to some of the people who are asking? If you and all the other serious, insightful answerers leave, the trolls will have won. Stick around. We need you.

The negative comebacks, violations for no reason and the little cliques make me not want to come back sometimes to. But I'm not going to let a few idiots ruin it for me. Sorry that you might be leaving.
