Actually, Protestants don't follow the same book as Catholics. They follow a subset. The Four Gospels were declared to be the holy word of God by St Irenaeus in the second century.
At the Council of Rome, in the fourth century, Catholics set the canon of the Bible -- and it has not been changed since then.
In the 1500s, Martin Luther created the Protestant Bible by throwing out several books from the Catholic Bible.
Catholics later met at Trent where they verified that all the books from the Council of Rome were the inspired word of God and were to be kept in the Bible.
The Eastern Orthodox has a few extra books in their version that are not in the Catholic Bible.

The Bible was not create by a lightning bolt from the sky. To understand this, you must understand that Roman Catholics are Christians. When Constantine defeated Emperor Licinius in 323 AD he ended the persecutions against the Christian church that started with Emperor NERO (the real beast 666), Christians are no longer an underground sect. As the religion grows, so does the complication of different Churches teaching different things. The Council of Nicea a panel that reviewed several books and basically standardizes the bible as you see today to create a uniformity of teaching. All other Christian denominations follow later.

The Council of Nicaea was a Council of the whole Christian church at the time - there were no such things as Roman Catholics, Orthodox, Anglican, or various Protestants until many hundreds of years later, and nearly all of them now agree with what was done by their one and only ancestral Church.

Roman Catholics are the FIRST CHRISTIANS. Many Catholics have been martyred for the Faith that the other denominations have right now. Why are they against us? I guess it is true that a dog always bites the hand that feeds it. Not all denominations do this of course but some do. they have just found another way they think they are smarter than Jesus who started the Catholic Church.

did you know Catholics are Christians? They believe Jesus is the Savior as do all Christians. Still the Bible for other denominations is not the exact same. The Catholic Bible contains some books which are not in the other Christian Bibles. I hope this answers your question.

The key is in the word FOLLOW. I will generalize here and say that most Roman Catholics accept the bible but venerate tradition of their church above the scriptures. The councils did a great job of canonizing the bible, I believe.

Roman Catholics are Christians. They are one type of Christians. There are many others. All believe in the Bible as their holy scripture (book) and as Jesus as the Son of God.
