What is your opinion of the Reverend Fred Phelps from Kansas?

Don't know about him, don't need to. One: Reverend, illegitimate and presumptuous term. Two: This is a time of silence. Anyone making those types of noises has in effect cooked his own goose. Three: Really nice avatar. Makes me miss the drawings of Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres. Hope this helps.

Whenever i hear about the things that family has done i laugh and laugh and laugh. It's so so radical that it's hard to believe it even exists. I think they are doing a good thing for the world by being so horrible, hateful, and evil. I haven't quite figured it out but it probably has something to do with seeing how disgusting a person can be and that making others want to be the farthest thing from it.

I think he's a horrible person and gives all Christians a bad name. He's also a cult leader (his group is a cult) and I can only pray for the day to come when he royally messes up and we (the sane people of the world) can lock him and his hate-mongering crew away for good.

Phelps is so deep in the closet he'll never find his way out. You can only hate what you fear, and Phelps and his devotees are terrified to the soul about queers.

It would kind of tragic pathetic if he weren't acting out so callously, but since he does it's merely pathetic, antisocial hatefulness.

He's a crackpot -- a control freak, a neurotic person who uses the bible to justify his own need for hatred. Here are a couple of links about him. One is with interviews of family members who left his cult.

Has he molested any boys in the last week. Does he preach against homos and cruise adult movie joints, does he have six mistresses two wives and a couple of girlfriends on the side. All these nationally known preachers are hiding something, From the Bakers to Haggard they are all hypocrites.

Men like this are an abomination. People like this make me sooo angry. Words can not begin to describe. Truly, he should be removed from any position where he influences people. I think, that because of this, he is also very dangerous. One of the best ways to fix the problem, is to remove it.

He is known for his infamous web-sites such as God hates Fags etc. and he calls his church Baptist. While its members identify themselves as Baptists, the church is an independent Baptist church not affiliated with any known Baptist conventions or associations. However,there is NO biblical basis for his beliefs. I think people like him and his followers make Jesus weep with sadness.

However, his type was prophesied...when Jesus said "Many will come in my name and deceive many".

God loves everyone.

He, and his daughter and his followers are all ignorant pigs. I feel sorry for people who are so consumed by hate for humanity. This world will be a better place when they move along.

He is an attention seeking nut job who's flock is mostly made up of his own family.

Don't assume all Kansans are like him, oh, and he is not a Baptist either.

Ignore him and he will go away.
