Help, I need to clear my internet history.?
my b.f. is a computer engineer. I need to delete my history, and all traces that I have been chating with anyone. No! I am not cheating nor am I thinking about cheating. I was contacted by some one from my past and I told them I was not interested, I just don't want him to find out that an ex was talking to me like that. Thanks

Depending on which broswer you are using... For Internet explorer, to delete history of visted pages, cookies, temporary internet files... Go to tools... Internet Options... Under the general tab... you should be able to see buttons that say "delete cookies", "delete temporary internet files", you should also be able to see something that says "Delete History"
For chat programs, not unless you specifically told the messenger program such as Yahoo Messenger to save conversations, by default, they are not stored in your computer. If they are, they should be under the directory where the program is installed. e.g.: C:\Program Files\Yahoo Messenger\etc
Incidentally, if your bf installed a device or program called a "key-logger" then it doesnt really matter coz it would have recoreded every key-stroke that you have done and no amount of erasing would help.
If this is the case... I would dump him for violating your privacy. If someone loves you and cares for you, they wouldnt go to such lengths to check up on you.
Relationships thrive in an atmosphere of trust... mention to him that your ex called or emailed and if he(your bf) is of good character... he would be more happy than angry that you came and told him about it rather than trying to hide something like that...
I sense there is a lot more to this situation, but aside from the point of "trust" that I just made. A healthy relationship also entails you not being afraid of being able to say ANYTHING to your partner.
Goodluck! :)

So on the top of your page you should have something that looks like a clock press on it and clear history from there or go to tools and then Internet options and clear from there be sure that when your done go to your start menu and go to system tools and disk clean up and run that and make sure your recycle bin is empty

You shouldnt delete it, if he find out just tell him what happened, but go to tools on the menu bar, click on internet options and click on delete files.

Go to tools, internet options, clear history, and delete cookies, and delete temporary files. (Just to be sure) I agree with everyone else, you should really just tell him outright.

If you turned him down and have ntohngi to hide then don't worry about it. and tell your bf before he even goes snooping.
