Shave in the shower. Use soap. It's this simple.

    1. Wet your private area.

    2. Wet your razor.

    3. Get out soap.

    4. Get out whatever you use to scrub soap on yourself in the shower wet and have soap on it.

    5. Gently take the razor and smooth it over your private area. When you cut off the hair that is growing in the same direction, it won't hurt and should prevent razor bumps.

If you do get razor bumps there's special types of cream at the store. And if you want to have all that hair shaved off without a razor, use Nair. You can use Nair anywhere, just not on your face.

the best thing to do is to shave with the "grain" of the hair, as opposed to against it, but then you're not as smooth, also, shaving without soap wont give you as close a shave (but then again, its not as smooth). best thing i've found tho is to get bikini zone after shave lotion. it says to apply it up to 4 times a day, and really, the more you do the better!!!

also, if you shave more frequently, the irritation will become less frequent, but if you're like me and only shave completely every other week or so, you get the irritation, but if you're willing to grit your teeth and continue shaving daily for a few weeks, it pretty much goes away completely (i cant make myself shave thru that pain tho, it feels like shaving an open wound!!!)

also, make sure the hair is super wet, and even condition it for a minute or so (with regular conditioner) and it will help soften the hair and make it easier to shave, so you'll have to go over an area fewer times and thus creating less irritation

Shave at the end of a hot shower, use a shaving lotion, and shave in the direction of hair growth. Don't make double swipes with the razor unless absolutely necessary!

Use a bladeless shaving method. Nair or [there's another type] that uses sort of a painless waxing cream, where the hair wipes off your legs with a "razor like" shaver with no blade. They razor and the can of it is about 7.50 @ wal-mart.

I use my husbands clippers with a guard. Then for my bikini area I use my razors and shave the direction the hair grows.

there is a cream called Bikini Bare. I use that and make sure you use a VERY sharp blade. A dull one will cause much more razor rash. I also use my husbands lotion for his face that he uses after shaving.

Shaving gel, lotion and using a really good razor. I use my hubbys. Always use a new blade! That the most important part, new blade!

put a very very warm washcloth over the area you are anticipating to shave and that will open up the pores and make the shaving easier.

Although I do reccomend waxing, it doesn't hurt that bad and it's not even as expensive as you would think.
