of course it is. Don't answer it. You can report it to your local authorities or even the RCMP if you are in Canada.

This is an old scam on the internet. Don't reply to it. The sender is hoping to gain your confidence and obtain access to your bank account. Report it as spam to Yahoo and these types of messages will end up in your bulk mail folder or eliminated.
I have rec'd so many of these I was going crazy.

Contact your bank, the police department and whatever agency handles fraud in your country. I would also suggest closing your current account and transferring your money to a new account with new details and information.

this is an old scam, but if you really want to know if the people are legal, just open up another account apart from your primary one and send them that account number and see what they do when they find out the new account is empty.

When in doubt, delete immediately. Also, check www.snopes.com - they're onto all the scams out there, whether it be via internet or otherwise.

got a similar ploy. I called up every name and office that cropped up during our exchanges of emails and not one was reached. Save your time and money, forget about that. Delete it.
