Pressing PrtScrn copies your screen to the Windows clipboard. You can paste it into any graphics application (Paint, Photoshop, etc) or into a Word document.
If you want to automate the process and have more control over your screen captures, try this freeware program:

Press Print Screen/SysRq to send a copy of the full screen to the clipboard.
Press Alt + Print Screen/SysRq to send a copy of the current Windows to the clipboard.
Press Crtl + C to send a plain text copy of a error message to the clipboard.

Use Prt Scr button on the keyboard, then paste the image in to a Paint Program.

this is easy.....
1. hold down ctrl and the print screen button(located beside your scroll lock button on the right top of keyboard) go to start and to accessories and open paint click on the white screen and hold down ctrl button and v and voila your picture will appear. you can save it as its normally would save and you can print it from there too!

the print screen key on your keyboard it is between to scrole lock and F12
