hola,it's Maritza and this is a question for my latino bretheren and sisteren.?
Question:(pregunta): Do you like and uphold your latino/a heritage and if you do, do you mind learning another language like Portuguese, Italian, Catalan, or Papiamento...(all of which I speak).I did want to pick up french but it seems too difficult and boring.
Have any suggestions?
The answers that I have gotten are okay and I respect them all individually, but all I really wanted from you were replies of another language I can take up.

Hola Maritza,Como estas? Well in my opinion you should always put your heritage as high as you can. Specially latin American Countries. For example i speak fluent Spanish,English, and some German, and im from El Salvador,Which im very proud. But yeah you should always try and learn a different language, you never know when your gonna use it..Te Cuidas

Everyone should learn as many languages as he/she can handle. You'll never be at a loss for words. This has ZERO to do with whether or not you are proud of your Latin heritage. Lo cortes no quita lo valiente. You give up nothing of yourself in learning another language, you enlarge yourself. Unless you are under coercion to do so, which makes you feel resentfull. French differs more from the Latin norms than Port, Ital, Catalan, especially the pronunciation and spelling [vocabulary too]. But Papiamento is a smorgasbord of a language, and you say you speak that too. Do you really want to know French?

You forgot that Latin countries were Spain, Portuges, Italia anf francia. I know all of these languages because if you know spanish, these languages should be a piece of cake for you.
