You must get it, you must see it. it was the first ever vampire movie, that stoker stole the story line from. And once you do and see it is the most amazing vampyre movie ever, get "Shadow of The Vampire" which is an amazing modern indie film about the filming of Nosferatu with an interesting twist... what if the star of the movie Nosferatu was actually a vampyre? People begin disappearing on the set, and turning up with bite marks on their necks. Definitely see both. Shadow of the Vampire has Willem Dafoe who played in my all time favorite vamp movie ever.. The Hunger with David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve. See all 3!!!!!

Nosferatu is based on the Bram Stoker book Dracula. At the time the fim company could not get copy rights to the title and the book, so its loosley based. Klaued Kinski did the remake in the ninetys, but the original is scarey. Dont see it alone

Nosferatu does with Silence what no script could ever do. Alfred Hitchcock said that movie taght him more about the unspoken word as an effective way of communicateing an idea than any other.

It is a brilliant movie. It is Moveing Pictures that display a story, brilliance is that most of the story is in the mind of the viewer.

Bram Stoker would not let them, the germans use the vampire dracula thing, so It was kinda of a ripoff from Dracula, because of the copyright laws etc... the movie is great, very well done for the time. and very creepy. there is also a very good movie about the making of that film... with John Malcovich... it too is worth seeing....
