Yahoo Answers on Home Computer?
Hi everyone! On my home computer I am able to access yahoo answers to pick best answers and vote (thumbs up and thumbs down) but for some reason, it won't let me post a question, or answer questions? Has anyone else had a problem like this? It has nothing to do with my computer itself as that is working fine, and I just got a new internet system so I know it isn't that. If someone could help me out, i'd really appreciate it, thanks so much! (PS-i'm on level 5 so I have unlimited answer capability)

From the symptoms, it sounds as if there is a "cookie" problem on your home computer that's preventing Yahoo!Answers from correctly storing your sign-in information, or the cookie information is incorrectly stored -- that's the only reason I can think of why you'd have some capabilities but not others.
Try this: Sign out of Yahoo (up at the very top of the page, in the center, you'll find a link that says "Sign Out" -- click that), then clear your cookies. To do this in Firefox, click Tools > Clear Private Data, then select the checkbox next to Cookies and click Clear Private Data Now.
To do this in Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options, then click the button titled Delete Cookies. You'll get a confirmation popup asking if you want to delete your cookies; click OK on that popup, then click OK again on the Internet Options dialog box.
Then return to Answers and sign in again.
If the problem persists, you may need to change your browser's policy on accepting cookies. In IE, click Tools > Internet Options, then click the Privacy tab. A setting of Low (not the lowest) will let Yahoo! Answers store your sign-in information but still block certain kinds of cookies from being written.
In Firefox, click Tools > Options, then click the Privacy tab. In the middle of the dialog box is a section titled Cookies; make sure that the box next to Allow Cookies is checked.
If you're concerned about tracking cookies from advertising sites, I recommend Spybot Search & Destroy -- it's an excellent way of cleaning up (and preventing) cookies that retain too much personal information, as well as blocking spyware from ever being downloaded (and cleaning it up if it somehow gets through). It's free, but the author appreciates donations; I've sent him money on PayPal because his product has been incredibly valuable in dealing with and preventing spyware and malware outbreaks in our home network.

that's a situation including your computing device. attempt cleansing your Browsers cache and notice if the subject clears. bypass to kit>internet techniques>commonplace tab>click the Delete Cookies, Temp documents and clean historical past buttons. in case you employ IE 7: in the final tab bypass to the surfing historical past section and click the Delete button>Delete the above products in this window.

Are you sure you're logged in? You may have had it set to automatically log you in with your old system but haven't done that yet on your new one. You can't ask or answer unless you're logged in.
