Cobra insurance coverage?
Has anyone had bad experience with this plan?
I paid three months online, printed out the paid invoice and the reference paid number. That was back at the first of October. NOW they tell me I'm not covered, that they never received the payment. Last Friday, I faxed them the bank statement showing it deducted from my account and where it went.
NOW they tell me it only got to the accountants MONDAY, and they have two to three business days to review. THEIR idea of two to three business days is this next Friday!
I have filed a complaint with the state insurance board. I have a strong feeling that this is part of their business plan, to deny, deny, deny, just to frustrate people into paying their bills, even though I have paid over six thousand dollars to this company, and all I want is the prescription that will cost them $34.
The "representative" told me I had done everything right, yet it will be a week to get this resolved.
You are right, it is UHCDirect is the company I am using. Fortunately, the insurance liaison for the organization I used to work for is going "to bat" for me on this.
My new job/insurance starts Jan 1, I am glad to not have to deal with these unethical people any longer than that.

Cobra is not an is administered through administrators, not insurance companies I would call the Department of Labor. I am seeing this problem when people pay online, please do not pay health insurance premiums online. Here is what happens, you are trying to be responsible, but here is the problem the bank or online institution you used did not send payment when you clicked "send" they hold all payments and send them all in once or twice a month and sometimes they send them in 30 to 40 days later, by the time they reach the debtor the account is delinquent I have had several clients policies cancelled for non-payment and every time it was when they used online payment, please do not pay health insurance premiums online.

COBRA isn't a plan, per se, it's a federal law that enables folks who no longer qualify for an employer's health insurance plan to remain covered by the policy. COBRA is usually administered by a third party administrator hired by the person's ex-employer.
I wish I could assure you that others don't go through this, but the truth is, many do. The problem lies with the administrator. So many times, this process is slowed by the administrator because they don't transmit coverage information and premiums to the insurer timely. Your state insurance commissioner's office should be able to resolve this for you.
