    1. a. correct

    2. b. change to "off-the-record"

[since "yesterday morning" is fewer than 5 words, you do not need a comma]

I agree with Jilliett but my reason is that I don't understand the assignment. Is this homework in word processing or in grammar? Let's work on your own writing.

I'M HOPING TO GET HELPFUL ANSWERS AS I'M HOME SCHOOLED AND I DON'T HAVE ANY ONE TO CHECK MY ANSWERS. I'M An HONEST PERSON. I'M NOT TRYING TO GET MY HOMEWORK DONE FOR ME. Most of my corrections were with apostrophes, not commas, but you'll notice that in my additions the commas are separating ideas and phrases. If the text isn't helpful, then we used a book by Ford, I remember it was a lady but I can't remember her first name. She was a teacher at a Toronto are school. Hopefully it will be available in your local library or the librarian will at least be able to suggest a good alternate.

    Good Luck.

I understand that you are probably telling the truth, but I'd rather see YOUR answers, then tell you if you're right or wrong and explain to you why.
