Suicide or Sacrifice?
I have seen several people write that Christ, since He knew He was going to the cross, committed a form of assisted suicide by doing so. My Question is, Since Christ, by His own admission, gave His life for all mankind, as the Lamb that took away the sin of the world. Was it suicide, or was it Sacrifice? Suicide is a permanent solution to temporary problems of an individual, Sacrifice is the most noble act of giving your life for someone else with their highest good in mind. O.K. what is it, SUICIDE, OR SACRIFICE?

its sacrifice.
as for assisted suicide? that's a stretching it. haha.
Jesus did not want to suffer and die. Tha'ts not normal. But he had to.
He could have prevented himself from going willingly to the cross to be killed, since he is all powerful God, but that would have meant the destruction of all humans because the sacrifice needed for salvation would not be paid.
He laid down his life willingly.
If you had to die to save a life of your friend.... that is not suicide at all, is it?

Sacrifice brother. Suicide would seem to be on the running away from a problem and that's a tough place that some poeple end up in. Also - humans are martyred for their beliefs and some know that this will cost them their lives. Deny Christ and live or die a believer. Blessed are you when you are persecuted in my name.

Just as you said, Christ, by his own admission, gave his life for all mankind, he is the lamb that takes away the sins of the world, so it is. Jesus died a sacrificial death that no one can. He willingly agreed to his giving his life to get back the life
Adam lost thruogh his rebellios and disobedient act. Without Jesus Sacrificial death mankind would still be slaves to sin and death.Hebrews 2: 9.

It wasn't suicide. Before Christ was born he knew that when he was born to this earth that he would sacrifice himself to save us from our sins. He first had to spread the word of God, die on the cross and return to Heaven to prepare a place for us. It was all planned through God.

Christ was sacrificed for our sins. His father could have stopped it at any time.
Remember, that in His agony,He cried out to God ,His Father & asked "Why hast thou forsaken me!"
You cannot hide from God & if Jesus would have run or hidden,God would have deemed Him unfit anyway!
Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, because He obeyed His Father to the very end.
If Jesus was willing to die for us because He loved His father & us,then why can't we love God unconditionally when we have everything?
God gave us eternal life on a silver platter & most ppl now are throwing it away!
He made salvation so simple & free, but it has been turned into a Doubting Dimwit's amusement park!(speaking of doubters as a whole, not just you)

Sacrifice the Greatest even made.
If a soldier willingly dies to save his company it is sacrifice.
If one kills himself for no good to come to others but only pain of lose it is an evil.

God saved Jesus soul and body toward him from the hand of the criminals. and put someone else instead of him. and because Jesus never died, he will return again in the end of days, kill the anti-christ and live for 40 years and then die normally like a human being.

SACRIFICE! For sure. He did it FOR others. Suicide is only for yourself.

To me it is soooo SUICIDE. The sinner wants to compensate for his sins? Believing such actions may clean off his sin like what Jesus did for us? I hardly classify taht as sacrifice....
