Is there software available that will let me make a DVD that contains many different clips from other DVDs?

Looking to make a dvd movie that has all of my favorite fight scenes put together from some of my favorite DVD movies. I assume I will need some type of video editing software to do this.

Any suggestions from others who might have done something like this in the past?

Any suggestions of which software I should buy?

Any tips you can give a beginner would be very helpful.

thanks

On the Mac, Final Cut Pro is a great program. On the PC side, there is Adobe Premere, but I like Sony Vegas. I is a little pricy, but they have a starter version that is called Sony Movie Studio DVD for $119.

There are hundreds of programs for assembling video any way you wish, some are free and some like AVID run into the dozens of thousands.

There are tons of options. A free way is to find a program that will let you rip a dvd. Then import that file and edit it.

Only you have to have some skill and a computer that can do it. The easiest thing I cam recommend for any users is to buy a Pinnacle capture box which comes with free software. That means all you have to do is hook a dvd player up and push record on your computer, then edit the video how you want. It cost some money, but will come in handy down the road.
