My first piece of advice is to stay off the internet. About 3 months ago, I found a lump in my breast. I went to my GP and she said I needed to get it checked by the radiologist. In between the time I went to my GP and the radiologist, I probably looked at every site possible that had to do with a lump in your breast. I thought I had cancer within hours of leaving my GP. The more i surfed the net about it, the more valium I needed to calm my nerves. I am 29 about to turn 30 and this was the biggest scare of my life.

When I went to the radiologist, they did a mammogram and an ultrasound and found what appeared to be a harmless cyst. While I was sitting in the waiting area in those barely there mammogram tops, another lady came in. She had cancer. And she was chipper about it. She said she had been through it before and they zapped it last time and she had no worries that they couldn't get this one too. She said she just takes it day by day and stays strong so she can beat the cancer.

I hope this helps. I was SO in your position a few months ago! You will be fine! Everything will be all right! You are in my thoughts!!! Good Luck!

Don't worry until you have to!! One of my mammograms showed a "mass" in my left breast. I was sent for further testing and everything turned out fine. I just simply have VERY dense breast tissue. Every mammogram since then has been fine as well.
