How do I remove a guitar's neck pickup?

I know how to remove it, but I'm wondering if there's anything that I need to do with the wiring once it's out. I want to totally get rid of the neck pickup in my Les Paul so that I can use the toggle switch as a "kill" switch, like Tom Morello. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Instead of cannabalizing the guitar, how about just turning the volume down for that pickup....?

If that doesn't do it for you, open the diamond shaped rear cover, clip the wires to the neck pickup (the group of wires in the GREY insulation... I think), take the 4 screws out of the pickup ring and pull the the pickup out.

You could unscrew the switch and clip the front pickups wires...
