Why is there so much sexual imagery in Gothic Cathedrals?

because the body is beautiful ... sex between couples is a beautiful thing ... and in the days when these cathedrals were built ... we werent so opposed to what should be very natural

the pagans had a lot of influence in early Christianity and this may be one of the reasons for the images

they appreciate nature

we really should get over this sexuality is bad .... it is not

Goths is a modern day fad. Gothic is an architectural style that was popular in the middle ages. Visigoths were tribal barbarians from Norway who plundered pillaged and raped wherever they went. None of these "goths" have anything to do with each other.

Perhaps because Jesus chose to come into the world by way of a human female's womb.

Nothing wrong with sexuality ... for the right reasons.
