Why do you dislike Christmas?

If the upcoming Holiday is one that you dislike, please share the reasons why. If you like the Holiday, please do not reply.

I dislike Christmas for a few reasons, but mostly because it makes me feel isolated.

I don't necessarily dislike Christmas, but there are several reasons as to why it's not my favorite holiday:

    (1) While you feel isolated, I feel just the opposite: crowded. I am a person that likes peace and privacy, and during the Christmas season, people are always coming over and spending lots of time at my house. I usually reach a point where I just want to go upstairs to my room, lock the door and forget I have guests.

    (2) Presents. Why is it socially accepted that we (adults) must/should exchange gifts? I mean, is that really the whole point of Christmas, to buy gifts for friends, family, co-workers, etc.? I wish that people would stop making it a big deal to buy gifts for each other, and perhaps just focus on getting kids gifts. After all, Christmas is nothing more than Jesus' birthday, so why we give EACH OTHER gifts? We should be giving Jesus gifts, shouldn't we? And since he's not alive today, we should do something Jesus would like, like give gifts to those in need (I guess it doesn't really matter, since I don't even believe in religion, but I think you get the point - presents are overrated).
