18 and No Boyfiend, Do I need a boyfriend?
Ive never had a boyfriend, and others are always with someone while Im single. I am a freshmen in college, I run track, and Im the editor of my school newspaper and i work for a community newspaper for my other paycheck. i am told im pretty, but i never get anyone to ask me out! I cant understand this phenomenon! Everyone says i will eventually find someone, but ive never been asked out! Help! People like my mom tell me i dont need one, but all my friends say i do. what do you think is the reason no one asks me out, and do i even need one?

This is also the reason I didn't go to my senior prom, because no one asked me out.

I was very same way. No you don't need a boyfriend you sound busy enough you do plenty.
Just wait till the right guy comes around, and then go for it whats the point of waisting you time with pointless dating.
And I did not go to my senior prom for the same reason.
Later I found out that one of my closest guy freinds wanted to ask me but was too shy, he just told me a few weeks ago that he likes me and wants to date.
So it will happen when it is meant too.

Not hearing what your mom, your friends, or society says. Do YOU believe you need a boyfriend? Why can't you ask someone out? Maybe it's not your time. Maybe there are other things you need to have done in your life before you bring someone else in. Look into yourself and see what you need not what others think. Good Luck

No you defainlty do not need a boyfriend. Your young you should be free and going out and having fun. You dont need a boyfriend to have any of these things. You'll eventually meet someone when they come along, for now! Have fun be young! And dont forget there are many years for men/boyfriends to come, but you can only be young once! dont waste it!

You don't need a boyfriend, especially at 18 and it is your first year of college. Concentrate on your first year and then maybe start to get involved with dating. I had my first boyfriend just after I turned 19. Broke up with him THANK GOD and now I am married at 23. :)

nope u need to find the right person to be ur boyfriend at the right time. theirs no age that u need a boyfirned.
butttt flirt more!!!! that helps.. dont scare them by being too sophisticated. thats what everyone says i do.. they're like u scare them away. just get comfortable and be yourself. thats what i do

YOU DONT NEED TO HAVE A BOYFRIEND. RIGHT NOW IS THE TIME TO FOCUS ON YOUR STUDIES AND FUTURE. HAVING ONE IS A LUXURY NOT A NECESSITY. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE YOUR FRIENDS YOUR FINE YOUR YOUNG YOU HAVE TIME. ALSO YOU CAN ASK A GUY OUT YOU DONT NEED TO WAIT ON THEM
