Yes, I have gotten the same basic impression from reading the web that the first answerer has.
I wouldn't be opposed to a live recording of it. They should perform it in concert and someone should record it high quality... I mean I'll pay for it IF it's available...
Someone on one site was hopeful that it might be released with the next cover album due out next year but if debeers owns it, I'd say there is a slim chance of that at best. I don't know how they could own a Cat Stevens song performed by Cat Power, they could own certain rights at best.

according to every source i've read, the answer has consistently been no :(...or at least that there aren't any plans to release it. apparently the song is owned by debeers, so i guess releasing it would be a copyright violation or some rubbish like that. it kills me, i love that song so much. i hope it gets released eventually.

It would be a shame if they dont release the song....if they are the money hungry whores we know them as then they know people are going crazy looking for this track in whole.
