How do you solve equations that have a variable on both sides?
example: k=8k+28
example: -30n=-27n-63

You move the variable to one side and solve
1.
k=8k+28
subtract k from both sides
0=7k+28
subtract 28 from both sides
-28=7k
simplify
-4=k
2.
-30n=-27n-63
add the -30n and the -63 to both sides:
63=3n
simplify:
21=n

Get the variable on one side and the constant on the other.
Ex. 1- k=8k+28
-7k=28
k=-4
Ex. 2- -30n=-27n-63
-3n = -63
n = 21

k=8k+28
k-8k=28
-7k=28
k=-4
-30n=-27n-63
63-30n=-27n
63=3n
n=21

You just solve it like a normal equation:
k = 8k + 28
-8k -8k
-7k = 28
-------------
. . . -7
k = -4
_______________
-30n=-27n-63
+27n +27n
-3n=-63
------------
. . -3
n = 21

move one variable to the other side. in your first example, subtract 8k from each side. those on the right will cancel and you'll be left with one variable and one coefficent.

-30n+30n=27n+30n-63
0=57n-63
63=57n
n=63/57

k = 8k+28
-8k -8k cuz da 8k is (+) u do da opposite
----------------- to BOTH SIDES
-7k = 28
8k & -8k cancel , bring down 28
