Call ahead and see if one of the senior centers or assisted living homes in your area will allow you and Fido to visit with some of their residents there. Often the elderly don't get many visitors because everyone is at home planning their own holiday and they forget them. Lots of places have learned how valuable an animals touch is to people in places like that. Your doggy will feel very special to be the center of attention, and you would have done a great deal more than to just sit at home.

It depends on where you live...in my area there's a cool racetrack where they've set up Christmas lights, and you drive on the actual racetrack and look at them. So, what town are you in??? If you're definitely staying in, you could watch Charlie Brown Christmas together. Or Silent Night/Deadly NIght. Or Santa Claus concurs the martians. If you're needing some human contact diners/movie theaters/bars are often open, and as someone who's traveled on Christmas Eve, sometimes it's fun to be the only ones out there, or one of the few out there, on christmas. And the wait staff will probably be happy to see you.

Depending on where you live, you may have bars with outdoor areas that allow dogs. Check it out online. Hopefully you'll find one and you and your pup can join the party. I go out with just my dog as my date a lot, I just had to look around for a while. Good luck and happy new year!
-Sorry I read it wrong as new year's eve, but the same answer applies, a lot of places are open Christmas eve. If you have to stay in, buy lots of little toys and hide them for her to unwrap and cuddle up for a movie. Dogs are family just like people. Enjoy!

Go for a walk along a nature trail or a good viewpoint (overlooking the sea/a lake/pond etc...) and watch as the sun sets and the skies darken, stars begin to twinkle and the moon appears vividly. (Only do it if the weather is predicted to be clear and not wet though!) If it is then maybe take an umbrella and find a nice sheltered place to go. But try to avoid being out when it gets too dark though... I.e. don't go too far afield.. perhaps somewhere familiar which is special to you.
Hope it's a good one. Merry christmas

I am sorry to hear you will be alone on Christmas. But try going to Church. Perhaps they might even have a gathering after the service. if you notice someone else there by themselves try sparking up a conversation! (of course after the service) you never know! Good Luck -

Yea, join groups. You'll be a new man.
I can ring, right now, 100 guys from the father's rights movement. Like, I met most ,if not all, on the internet. I've visited and protested with hundreds of them. I've stayed with some, etc. Gone drinking with more than a few of them.

deer outfit for the dog. oh man thatd be crazy, its really a dog but people wont know for sure untill you show them the dog without the antlers, or get yourself a jumpstart on a cool tunnel to your neighbors house through your basement your dog could help dig.or uh, act all lonely and try to get an online date for xmas or just get up and go volunteer somewhere.

Yes, you can go to a community center and spread a little Holiday joy. There are people who have less then you who and it's time you share yourself with others to warm their spirits!
Maybe you can even bring your dog too? People love dogs!
