Download an app call CCleaner(make sure u get the free version) and it'll get rid of alot of crap that xp missed. You need those hot fixes, so don't delete them. CCleaner was able to clear out 4 gigs of crap on my buddies computer.

A hot fix is a single, cumulative package that includes one or more files that are used to address a problem in a software product (aka. a software bug). Typically, hotfixes are made to address a specific customer situation and may not be distributed outside the customer organization.
As a side effect a hotfix package might contain several encompassed bug fixes raising the risk of possible regressions.
In a Microsoft Windows context, hotfixes are small patches designed to address specific issues, most commonly to freshly discovered security holes. These are small files typically automatically installed on the computer with Windows Update (although some may only able to be obtained via Microsoft Support) and could contain a hot patch eliminating the need for a reboot.
There are a number of third-party software programs to aid in the installation of hotfixes to multiple machines at the same time. These software products also help the administrator by creating a list of installed hotfixes already installed on multiple machines.

Use CCleaner. It makes your computer run faster as well, and it'll only probably add on about 80mb of space. Buy an external hard drive if you need a LOT of space.

you need the hotfixes, you dont say how big your drive is or what else you have loaded. that would help! buy a second drive and have it installed. move all pics music , movies whatever to the second drive, so windows can operate.

if u refill ur no longer ordinary force area all thy way, ur comp wont decelerate, in simple terms dont have any area to shop issues. i as quickly as became making use of a 9 gb no longer ordinary force, and that i ended up filling it up all thy time. what occurred became at 3 hundred mb left or something like that, abode windows notified me and instructed me to get rid of a few classes and try this disk cleanup ingredient. abode windows does want some area to back up documents n stuff whilst u shutdown n issues, yet specific its no longer goan decelerate ur no longer in possibility or something, its ram which will slow issues down or velocity them up, ram is the memory it takes to load a application, so if u dont have alot, it takes longer to load classes.

Try running the defragment first to see how much actual space you have before you start deleting stuff...

You could try a disk cleanup, it in your start menu under accessories, then system tools. It will compile old junk and trash and ask you if you would like to delete it!

at long as it doesn't cause your computer to have to be re programed.be careful of what you delete;you could be a memory stick to add mor things to they sell them at staples office max and most computer stores.
