need to convince mum-dad 4 a cell phone!!?

ne clues how to do tat... i hv tried talkin n they say wait at least 4 a year...m clueless wen they ask me y do i need it cuz i myself dont know y i want it (i dont NEED it duh...just want it!!)...may be cuz all my frens hv it...n wen i tell them this they'll say i hv mny things which my frens dont hv(lk staying online 4eva...my personal vehicle!!)..uhh i WANT a cell 4 wateva reasons...can u suggest sm reasons...n m talkin HARD-CORE logic out here....be at ur logical best coz ntn else wud help!!!

there's really no need for you to get a cell yet. you're still underage and will probably get the bill high. you have other resources to contact people (chatting, email, home phone). its just a fad. i got mine until i got to college even when my friends had it in high school. its just a fad in which it will pass. just wait, you can live without it, trust me

In the states we have what is called a 'pre paid' cell phone.  The phone itself may cost from 20$ to 200$ depending on the type of phone you want.  

After that you pay up front for your 'phone minutes'  .  I have one and every few weeks I buy cell phone minutes.  It cost me 30$ for 300 minutes.  

Ask them about that.  It would be cheaper for them.  

Also like someone on here said. Think of safety.  Your a girl and if something happen you want to be able to get a hold of someone fast.

Try safety. You're a girl. What if your "personal vehicle" breaks down in the middle of nowhere and you need to ring the auto club. What if you get stuck at a party with no ride home. What if someone spiked your drink. What if you really got into trouble with some guy somewhere, it's dark "if only I had a cellphone..." you get the idea.

Well, learning to spell properly would certainly be a start. Then there would be some proof that you're not too young for a cell phone. Judging by your spelling and grammar, your parents are right in their decision to wait a bit.

Mine got their own phone...They worked to get it...I refuse to buy a kid cell phone...My sister found out the hard way how much text messaging is and the bizillion minutes they used...

Gophone. You can have pay as you go so you don'y have outragous bills. only $.05 / text/im and $.10-$.50(depending on your pay as you go plan) / minute. Say its a great way to talk to your friends.

hide to your friend house 4 days then come home. your mom n dad will asking "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!!??!" answer it " see... if i had a cellphone i might answer that 3 days ago..."   :D    lol
