What people can't seem to understand that they CANNOT ever prove God's existence because He doesn't belong in our dimension in the first place! God belongs to another dimension that humans were not designed to understand. People who deny God use the principles in this world [dimension] to "prove" that God doesn't exist, like Science. It is totally inappropriate.

I "deny God" (assuming we're talking about the same thing) because I don't believe god exists. Belief isn't a conscious choice, it's a result of logical or faith based processes. You can't convert people to believe what you do, you can only force them to do as you say. You do not have any control over your own beliefs.

Now, that's not to say that I don't know WHY I don't believe in God. Quite honestly, there are certain unreconciliable difficulties regarding the portrayal of a divine being in Christianity. So I don't believe that. Seeing as that's what I was raised under, I have two options: be agnostic or atheist, and find some other religion I'll believe in. Seeing as how I'm happy being agnostic, I don't have the incentive to go out there and find a new religion, so I'm staying agnostic. Besides: the nature of god makes it inherently impossible to prove. The question is whether or not we live our lives day to day under the assumption of the existence of or lack thereof of a divine being, and occum's razor will generally lead you to the conclusion of the atheist. That doesn't mean the atheist is right, just that the atheist is practical. And don't break out Pascal's Wager regarding practicality; this is practicality in terms of predictive power, not practicality in terms of "Dude, you're goin to hell!"

Disagree. That's just a side benefit.

I do not believe in any god because there is no evidence for any. I have only people's word that such a thing exists at all, and those people have a vested interest in my believing them.

I think it is easier to live with 'obligation' of His way. It gives people morals, virtues, and values to live by. Whats so hard about being a good person? Unless you're totally selfish, and self-involved.

If one is self confident enough, he/she would deny God. When we need a moral boost up we think about God. It has been seen that even persons who deny God, takes Gods' name when in crisis or trouble.

It can be explained as a mental medicine for enhancing your confidence level.

No, because we enjoy the challenge of finding our own answers. It's easy to be lazy and say "It's God's will," but that's no fun. I'd rather be the arbiter of my own fate rather than rely on an untrustworthy and cruel spirit.

No....he is a figment of your and everyone else's imagination. Can't deny what doesn't exist. Be your own god.

No... there is no god to deny. I cannot deny that which does not exist. I don't deny your "god"... it is not there to be the object of denial.

And there's nothing so hard about being a moral person. I do it every day WITHOUT the supposedly "supernatural" sanctions of a fictitious deity.

    Because he doesn't exist.

Because some people need to see to believe.
