Because these are celebrities that use their brains. They care about the more important things happening in the world, rather than most people who use the internet to search for celebrity gossip. The internet could be a great tool for knowledge if people were more aware of the issues that matter.

Because people are often influenced by what celebrities say. And Yahoo! Q/A is another place where you can talk about interesting subjects, and actually get answers from real people.

They're on Y/A because there are so many gullible and vulnerable people who fall for their crap. Real people, who read and understand the way things happen, won't give these self-important morons the time of day.
