well, there are many reasons why they never called... i have learned this from my bf & some guy friend of mine. I just asked them why & here's the reason behind that:

    1. they won't let the girl see them too eager to call (so Mr. Joe Cool & Mr. Jeremy is right), they would wait for couple of days or week.

    2. they would test if the girl would make the first move, if not then that's the time they will decide to call you.

    3. sometimes they could be jerk too, finding a new girl that is more interesting & then forget you...or if the new girl isn't that good enough, they will return & try to call you (this sometimes takes longer than weeks or months- i hate to say that but it's true)

    4. they unconsciously misplaced the number

    5. sometimes they could be too shy.

    6. sometimes they have a bet to their friends, which means even they are not interested to you, they just want to get your number & win to that bet so they get a good approval of their friends, but eventually when they learn that you are a cool girl... they would probably like you.

Sadly, this happens all too often and can be very frustrating ... while only the guy knows his reasons for this, it could be because he changed his mind, decided that he's really not interested but didn't want to look like a jerk for letting you down (although they don't realize that it would be more respectful and they wouldn't look like a jerk if they were honest) or it could be just for the sake of seeing if he can get the number. Sorry for your luck but don't waste time worrying about it - it's not worth it.

^ I just saw that exact same answer on a different question. On-topic: The only reason he wants your number is so he can brag about all the phone numbers he got. It's similar to the number of friends on Facebook; the more you have, the cooler you are.

If you have ever seen swingers there is the three day minimum rule for calling a girl. So you get the number and then you wait three days to call. Not necessarily what I do, but it's a guess as to what's up in your situation.

Don't sweat it. Maybe he lost the paper that he wrote your phone number on or forgot it if he memorized it. Or maybe he's just one of those guys who just collects phone numbers to prove that he can get girls' numbers.

Why worry about this? Move forward. If he wants to call, he'll call. No one knows why he hasn't called except him, not even these psychics answering this question. Just move ahead and if he calls, let him know that you had to come to yahoo to ask something you could ask him directly. :)

Cuz it's a game and a challenge and an ego booster, and he's got a girlfriend. Sorry, honest truth.

when did he ask you for it? If it's been a few days or less, don't freak out yet. They have a "thing" about not seeming too eager, so they wait it out for a couple days.

    a) Guys can go shy.

    b) Guys can get forgettful.

    c) Guys can have see but no touch syndrome.

    d) Guys can win bets.

    e) Guys can be jerks.

    f) Guys can be afraid.

    for starters...
