Girlfriend Issues?

Right now I am at work, I was called in to work for 2 hours tonight while my coworker attends a Christmas party for her full-time job. My girlfriend is pissed at me because she says that nobody else I work with would do the same for me. She is mad because she wanted to spend time with me tonight. I get off at 8:30 and she does not want to get a bite to eat when I get off. What can I say to her?

Tell her that it sucks that you have to go into work tonight, but that it's only for 2 hours. It's not like you are getting off really, really late. It will only be 8:30, which is still early. I would recommend saying to her that you would love to spend some time together after you get off work. Maybe you guys could cuddle up to the fireplace and watch a movie. :)

Tell her you were just doing your co-workers a favor.Tell her you're sorry and though you missed one dinner there are many more to come.

honey if i don't work this shift, the meal we're about to have, will likely be our last, due to financial constraints, associated with job less syndrome.
