How do I stop messenger from automatically logging on every time I turn on my computer?

You need to go to Messenger>Preferences>General and UNcheck Automatic Start, the first box, then apply and close.

You have to sign out from your yahoo and uncheck the automatical recognition. Then go to tools, Internet options, then delete your temp files, cookies and history. Then close and shut down the internet modem or dial-up. Go to start and restart your computer. Log into the Internet and go to yahoo mail. Here you will be ask to enter your user login and password. If you always log out, you will not have this problem recurring.

Go to "Start" >"Run" >type: "MSCONFIG" without the quotes >click the "Start-up" tab >find Y! Messenger on the list and uncheck the box next to it>Click 'Ok' and it'll ask you to restart now or later.

Open Y! Messenger:

Go to the "Messenger" menu [near 'Contacts']>select "Preferences" >under the "General" tab/category, uncheck the box near 'Start Y! Messenger on startup." >Click 'Ok'.
