my emoticons will not show up and when some one puts an emoticon n it does not show up either this is of?

it might be that your browser isn't set to display animations and / or your smileys are disabled in YIM...

log off Yahoo! Messenger and close

fire up Internet Explorer

click on Tools

select Internet Options

click the Advanced tab

under the Multimedia category

make sure Show Pictures and Play Animations has been selected

click Apply

click OK

restart Yahoo! Messenger

click on Messenger

select Preferences

under the Messages category (left hand side)

make sure Enable Emoticons is still selected

click Apply

click OK

May be there using another messenger other then yahoo. When i use trillian sometimes n when i sent emoticons to another person they cant see mine because the messengers use differnet setup for the emoticons. ask the person what messenger they are using to talk to you with.

Go to your preferences, and to messeges... check and make sure you have box checked for emoticoms, if it is already checked, uncheck and close then go back and re check and try to send... hope this helps...M
