Yep. You both have to do what is best for the child even if it means doing the hard thing. Kids learn by example. Do you want you child to think the relationship you and your g/f have is normal. Better for the child to have 2 happy parents apart then 2 miserable ones together. If you don't love your girlfriend, and see yourselves having a healthy loving relationship, split up now before the child is born. Staying together is easy for you and her, but you're doing it at the expense of the child. Time to grow up and think about someon other then yourselves.

yes, you should both be happy even if it is with other people. not to say that you don't have responsiblities and will see her for the rest of your life through your child together, but I wouldn't say that you should just be with her because of a child.
