Is it true that some teaching hospitals do tummy tucks at fairly low costs for donating the skin?
I have lost a huge amount of weight and am looking to get the excess skin removed. I was told that Duke, Columbia and some other teaching school associated with burn centers do this surgery at low costs if you donate the excess skin for them to use as skin grafts

That's a great question, cause if that's true, I have a lot of skin to donate. I've wanted a tummy tuck for a long time now, I'm going to look into it. Thanks for such an interesting question. ~~~

Just a suggestion... but before you go spending money on surgery, why don't you try exercising a little? Your tummy was stretched out for 9 months, it will take some time for things to go back to normal.

Tummy tuck surgery has become very common now. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost surgery in India. Indian corporate hospitals are comparable to hospitals anywhere in the world. In fact, India has medical facilities that are comparable with the USA, UK and Canada. India offers World Class Medical Facilities, comparable with any of the western countries. India has state of the art Hospitals and the best medical experts. With the best infrastructure, the best possible Medical facilities, accompanied with the most competitive prices, you can get the treatment done in India at the lowest prices.
