Does anyone know about Gov't aide for houses and school?
My husband and I live in a bad neighborhood with our one year old son. We don't have the money to get out right now. I've been told that the Gov't has special programs for people like us trying to get a home. Also, we want him to go back to school. What kind of scholarships are out there?

I would suggest going to your local Housing and Urban Development Office (HUD) and checking into assistance through them. As far as scholarships go, try fastweb.com. It is the best database that I have found about scholarship information. I would also go sit down with a financial aid specialist at the school he wants to go to. They should know about any special funds for people in your situation.
Worst case scenario is that you need to stay in your current place until your hubby is done with school.
