weird fungi found in my yard in southern louisiana?
i found this fungus in my yard today, it lookes like a starfish with its feet in the ground it was a pretty pink color and looked spongy, when i dug it up to throw it out of my yard i hit this glob of slime that had the most horrible smell. any body with any idea what the name of this fungus is? i grew up in the woods and i have never seen anything like it

Your description of the fungus suggests Aseroe. This is one kind of a group commonly called stink horns. The smelly mass is comprised of spores in a gelatinous matrix that supposedly attracts insects such as flys as dispersal agents.

yeah it's a turd from a Mexican they do it all the time and that is what cosed the e-coli breakout Mexicans turding in the fields on American food! it is a form of anal terrorism! and the government hides the facts to keep cheep labor in this country !
