a 16 yr old girl and a 47 yr old man?
My neice is 16, at at 15 she was sexually involved with a man of 47, he has bought her sexual gifts such as a dildo and a very seductive teddy.. Her mother contacted the police, they said as long as it was consintual, there could not be any charges filed..The mother is devaseted.. Her daughter insists she is in love with him, what constitutes a prederater? something.. this is in Ohio,, need advice..

at 15 in Ohio she is probably legally at the age of consent unfortunately... obviously this guy is a predator but potentially not in the hands of the law. Sorry I don't have any answers, take away the internet, phone, move away, try to cut her off best you can I guess but then teenagers have this way of rebelling and she could easily "run away" after that so. Maybe try approaching this with a "friend" approach, say you are worried and concerned for her, say that it isn't normal for a 47 yr old to like a 16 yr old, why can't he find someone his own age? things like that, try to stay her friend and make sure she feels she can come to you. Hopefully eventually she will come around and realize this is not healthy she is giving her peak years away to some perv when she could just be an innocent high school girl! ugh tough situation good luck, maybe contact a psychologist or high school counselor or some other parenting authority they may have some experience in this situation.
