Wearing a brace at night can help. I got some relief from it when I wore mine everynight for about a week. I started noticing a difference. I also "stretch" my wrist by pushing holding my hand up like to say STOP. I use my other hand to lightly push against my fingers toward my elbow/shoulder. It seemed to loosen it up. I also took Advil to reduce swelling. When it was really bad I went to the chiropractor. I had what they call as "double crush". So he did some wrist and elbow treatment, then I got a neck adjustment along with light therapy done to my wrist. I got treated about 5 times and it helped. It hasn't been that bad since

I used ice to relieve the swelling and changed how I used the keyboard. I got an ergonomic keyboard and got a lower keyboard tray. One that I could set at an angle with a mouse tray on the side. I also got braces for when I had flair ups. It's been over 10 years but now I do not have pain, most days.
