If you get this message in Windows Media Player when trying to play streaming content:
Error Sorry, media playback failed. Error Code: 14 - C00D11BD
1. Tools
2. Options
3. Network tab
4. Under Streaming Protocols select: Multicast, UDP, TCP, HTTP
5. Under Streaming proxy settings select all protocols individually and hit
the "Configure" button and set each one to "Autodetect proxy settings".
6. Make sure everything in Step 4 is still checked. If it's not recheck it
again. The "Use Ports" button should become checked automatically checked if
you did steps 1-5 and should show a port range of 7000 - 7007.
Can not play downloaded songs. Reinstall the Windows Media Player and try to play the song and then the WMP will popup a window which will ask whether you want to download a security file just click yes it will install that security patch and all will be well.
Uninstall and re-install Windows Media Player. Then delete all the files in the DRM folder (which may be hidden) and the purchase site will issue new licences for all the music. When you thennext play the music you will be prompted to download the new licences. Everything should then play, (so quickly burn it all to a cd before it changes it's mind!).
