Whats a good sql database to start with for windows?

I have 20 years experience with databases but have had little to do with sql databases. Can I find a windows based all in one database & user interface, just to get started?

    MySQL!

You can download the server & client software free for noncommercial use. Works under Windows and Linux.

As suggested, MySQL is a good choice, but it doesn't come with GUI user interface by default.

Oracle Express is free and pretty good. It does have an integrated UI, and you can design fairly flexible applications too without any programming knowledge. And if you are interested in it for job skills, Oracle is the number 1 database in business by a huge margin.
