toshiba sattelite a100 special character?

I type in spanish and my laptop doesnt allow me to use alt+164 to type a special character (ñ) that I would normally type by keying that combination of letters. Is there a way that I could do it with this computer?

    hi Chiquita banana ;)

the Tilde sign on most laptops is just on the left of the Delete button. to type the ~ sign or ñ just press the "Alt" key on the right of the Space bar and hold it, then press the key with the ~ sign. then release both keys an hit the "n" key --> ñ ..... done.

PS. to get the tilde sign alone, you have to press "Alt" and ~, then release both and then press the Space bar --> ~

There might be a Spanish keyboard for that computer. When I was a Toshiba tech i replaced keyboards all the time, you had to pick the right part number to match the language. Spanish had its own part number. Also with windows you can use the text and services in XP to use other languages. If I remember you could make special characters. Sorry I have forgotten most of my Spanish.
