origin of the bible.?
could someone explain the origin of the bible without actually referring to the not too likely tales in it. the actual historical origin of its parts, anything its based on, copies found by historians, etc.
leave out anything about how god commanded his faithful to write it or sent an angel or whatever.
DO NOT QUOTE FROM THE BIBLE OR TELL WHAT UR PASTOR TOLD U. UNLESS U WANNA PROVE U CAN'T READ.
origin of the bible as one of the oldest collections of writings on earth, not origin in a spiritual or religious sense.

Historically the Bible was written over a period of 1500 yrears, from about 1500 years bc up to 100 ad, by about 40 different writers. The 39 books of the Old Testament was put together by the Jewish people several hundred years bc. The OT is based on the origination of and the history of the nation of Israel and follows their journey from their origination from Abraham to the time that they were established in Palestine under the leadership of the Kings of Israel. It also records the kingdom being divided, then taken into captivity and their return to palestine about 400 years bc. The New Testament 27 books was recognized shortly after the turn of the first century. The NT is the story of the birth to the death of Jesus Christ. It includes His teachings and the establishment of His church. It also contains a history of the early church and numerous letters sent throughout the world at that time
It is a religious book and originated through the workings of Judaistic and Christian theologians. It is historically the most documented of all human writings, with enough manuscripts to write the entire Bible over 5,000 times without ever using the same manuscript twice. It is at present the world's best seller of all times of any book.
That is about all I can say without getting into the actual teachings of the Bible as you request.

If I am not mistaken, there were many different books by various prophets. in the Middle East written. The Dead Sea scrolls were also included in the making of one unified book. Pope Innocent of Rome adopted Christianity based on all of these various text. He pulled in scholars and had them organize the text leaving out some writings such as The books of Phillip and Mary. From that the Bible and basic concepts of Roman Catholic Christianity was formed. I don't have a college degree, but I watch a lot of TV. So take what I wrote here and verify on your own because there may be mistakes.

It sounds as though you want to know the "origin of the bible" but without any internal nor external evidence. Really, you might almost likewise ask about the origin of the Domesday Book, without any internal nor external evidence!!

The Bible is a compilation of works by more than 40 authors, written during a period of about 1,600 years, yet it is unified in spirit, outlook and inspiration.
The earliest parts of the Bible were written in approximately 1500 B.C.; the most recent around A.D.100
The original languages of the Bible were Hebrew (Old Testament), Aramaic (a few scattered parts of the Old Testament), and Koine Greek (New Testament).
The word Bible is derived from a Greek word (biblos) referring to papyrus (in later Latin, biblia), and the word Testament from a Latin word (testari) meaning to witness.
At key points in early church history, church leaders met and tested the writings to determine which should be considered truly authoritative.
These books came to be called canonical, from the Greek word for a measuring stick (kanon); they later became what we today know as the Bible.

Text in the from of many scrolls have been found for many years scattered across the middle east. From these writings, church leaders compared them and formed a collection of these books called the bible. The latest discovery is known as the Dead Sea Scrolls, which were found roughly about 60 years ago.

The Bible is a compilation of epics of many of the cultures that proceeded it. For example, many people think that the floods in the Noah story come from the Babylonian Epic of Gilgamesh. Even Christian scholars will admit, to the man, redactions and omissions in the text of the Bible from one era to another. In the Hebrew version of The Book of Esther their is no mention of a deity at all. Many of the Ten Commandments are believed to be taken from the (much earlier) Code of Hammurabi.
Thousand of years before the Bible was written the Bhagavad Gita stated "in my fathers house are many rooms" attributed to Krisna, an atavistic avatar of Visnu. Much later the New Testament records: "In my fathers house are many mansions, in my fathers house are many rooms." Attributed to Jesus Christ the atavistic avatar of Jehovah.

Assorted prophets wrote the Torah and other scriptures.
Jesus' deciples wrote other scriptures.
The bible was canonized at the Nicean council in 325 CE. Here they decided what books would be allowed in and voted other scriptures OUT.
That is how the current bible came to be.

Why do you want someone tell you the origin of the bible when in the same breath you let us know that it is all fairy tale, I can give you many historians findings to prove the bible & the events in the bible took place, but why should I give you what a historian say, remember it is all a fairy tale to you. So then what historians tell you, would also be a fairy tale. My goodness, your question is a fairy tale.
